Permit submission:
- Complete the “Township Application to Connect” including your contractor’s signature.
- Have your contractor supply you with a sketch of the planned connection and decommissioning of your existing system. The procedure for sewer connection and schematics to provide your contractor can be found here.
- Complete the “Borough Sewer Connection Permit” for the Borough Authority.
- Submit the forms and sketch to the Township Office along with a check:
- If you are paying the entire connection cost up front, remit a check in the amount of $15,860.78 made out to Strasburg Township.
- If you are paying the $10,199.78 connection fee over time, remit a check in the amount of $5661.00 made out to Strasburg Township to cover the Borough Authority connection fee.
Once the connection permits have been received and reviewed, those who elected to pay over time will be required to execute a lien agreement provided by the Township prior to breaking ground.

Creek View Connection Permit Package updated
Per discussion with the Strasburg Borough Authority, “the sewer service lines may be installed with 36” of cover and the traps shall be located within 5 feet of the dwelling”. This is a clarification of Authority specs previously provided.
During initial lateral installation, a large, very deep vein of limestone was discovered. This makes it necessary to relocate some of the laterals to mitigate steep cost overruns. Effected property owners will receive a letter this week with instructions. It is the Township’s goal to keep the overall project cost as low as possible.
Construction is scheduled to begin on July 24th and wrap up around the middle of October. Mandatory hook-ups will be required by the end of March 2024. More details will be made available as they arise.
